We’ve been renovating the studio in Toronto for the past few days and decided it was time to change the floor in the front, hallway, office and sales room. The carpet was installed about 4 years ago and after our water heater leaked this past spring the carpet just turned into a stained mess.

Alex and my schedule for the next 12 weeks is absolutely insane. Here are a few highlights.

• Shooting a wedding tomorrow with 2 brides and 2 grooms! Really. Sisters getting married on the same day at the same time. Going to be a riot.
• Sunday we are ripping out carpet in the front office
• PAINTING Sunday night from 915pm-3am woohoo (if your bored come on in, I’m buying beer and pizza)

• The following Monday we open our new studio in Mississauga!!
• Same Monday we start new Customer appointments Mon-Thursday 6,7:30, 8:30 & 9 pm for the next 10 weeks
• New MississaugaHomeMovies.com site goes live!!!
• meetings grrrrrrrrrrrr
• Shopping for glass shelves for Toronto, Montreal, Mississauga, Miami and Denver.
• 3 videos due this week 2 photo packages
• Canada’s Bridal Show!!!
• another 3 weddings
• Fall Engagement Shoots Start!
• off to Montreal for a meeting and equipment upgrades
• Start redoing bathroom in Toronto
• We have the National bridal show as well as 3 weddings on Saturday.
• New DigitaSpecialist.ca Store goes live!!!
• Total of 11 weddings shot in September 8 photo and video.
• Total of 10 wedding videos due in Septber

I have always taken a laissez faire approach to competition. Mainly because I was raised to think that if I lost in any compeition it was usually my fault. For example: In school if I was not the top of my class, it was because I failed to study hard enough. In music, if I didn’t win at individual competitons (I won a lot) it was because I didn’t practice enough. In business, as a photographer, if I had a poor year I would blame myself for not working hard enough to get as many people to view my work as possible. And if people weren’t impressed with my work, then I needed to work harder to take more impressive images.

But this just sucks.

I have a competitor who has registered www.torontohomemovies.ca and made it look like his companies site http://www.2dvd.ca/. In other words, he is trading off the 8 years of hard work to steal customers using our name. Now, most of you would say — “you should sue the bastard” – but according to my lawyer and even a very well placed judge, we don’t have a case. The reason being that the judicial system has yet to catch up to this century. Even, in as blatant case as this.

Now – We realized how immoral this person is upon their obvious lack of business ethics. So I racked my brain for a suitable response. Well this is it!!!

You see – This is a blog. It is my opinion that http://www.2dvd.ca/ are scum. They make promises they cannot keep. They use other companies good name to obtain clients and blatantly lie that they were they pioneered HD  in Canada, they didnt even offer it until last week!

You see by posting this on my site it will get indexed. That means that in the future – when people search for a review of http://www.2dvd.ca/ they will see this post.

Well I’m back at my desk. Kinda scary how much work has piled up. Mostly have videos to edit. At the same time, we are opening a new location in Misssissauga and have to redo the studio in Toronto. oh and 288 emails to clean out of my Gmail account.

I’m going back to bed.
